Today marks a special anniversary for Garinagu who are concerned about Garifuna culture disappearing. Today, March 18th, 2010 marks the 9th Anniversary of the UNESCO Proclamation of Garifuna Culture (Language, Dance, Music) being one of NINETEEN “Masterpieces of The Oral And Intangible Heritage Of Humanity” world-wide.
